A paper products manufacturer had been told its material could not be recycled because of a chemical barrier. Royal found a practical recycling solution.
The engagement
Royal met with facility supervisors, collected samples, and searched for a paper mill in the U.S. that could recycle the product.
The solution
No U.S. recycling facility would accept the paper waste. Royal now processes the material at a Royal Paper Stock facility and ships it overseas to paper mills that can handle the high wet-strength chemical barrier, completely eliminating the customer’s landfill charge.
